Construction

 

Hull and deck are built in sandwich construction using vacuum infusion process.

Rudder is built in carbon-epoxy post cured at high temperature.

Keel is built in Steel.

Bulb is forged lead-antimony with epoxy compound surface finish.

Keelbox is integral with must support/keel lifting system.

 

Mast and rigging: Fractional rig with 1 set of backswept spreaders and no backstay.

 

Performance - VPP

 

Boat speed in upwind, reaching and downwind conditions in various wind speed scenarios.

CFD optimization

 

Computational Fluid Dynamics calculates lift and drag forces of a hull with appendages and can also be used to compute pressure loads due to waves and wave impact at speed. The forces of lift, drag and pressure can be translated into structural requirements and provide the means to optimize a hull working in concert with its appendages to produce lift in the most efficient manner possible while satisfying the needs for stability. 

 

Thanks to our partners, Dr. Ing. Kristijan Horvat & Stanislav Sviderek, Phd, we have an advanced CFD hull analysis and simulations in various boat speed and heel angle positions. Results are impressive as they confirm a very efficient hull with performance parameters as predicted in boat's VPP.
